Adjustable Conversion Rate: the amount of Ethy-Gen® II that converts to ethylene is a user-selectable rate and varies from 2 mL to 2 liters per 24 hours (additional and custom rates available). The rate used is dictated by the room / chamber size, and we will provide you with a generator that accommodates your room size. There are eight conversion rates on the generator and this range will help to attain the desired ppm level.

Ethylene Output: Approximately 0.386 m3 / 13.63 ft3 of ethylene will result from the conversion of one liter of Ethy-Gen® II in a minimum period of 12 hours.

Monitoring of ethylene conversion with highly visible light indication showing the operation status of the unit; a green light makes it clearly evident of ethylene production, or a red light will provide an alert in the rare occurrence of a malfunction.

Place on floor or request optional wall-mount system.

Location in room is wherever convenient and protected from traffic of pallet jacks and lifts.

Our generators can be used for fruit degreening in rooms that have a minimum cubic dimension of 57 cubic meters / 2000 cubic feet.

On the maximum side, the general rule is 90,000 cubic foot (2,500 cubic meters). The actual dimensions depends on several factors, including desired ethylene level and room “tightness” (how well-sealed the room is to prevent air loss).

For rooms larger than this, additional generators can be used, if needed, to achieve the proper ethylene level. It may be possible to use just one generator for a room that is larger than 90,000 ft3 / 2,500 m3; again, dependent upon how tight the room is.

Remember, ethylene is explosive at 27,000 ppm; always use our generators in degreening rooms that are 57 m3 (2000 ft3) or larger. When using our equipment as directed, explosive levels of ethylene in ripening rooms are not possible.
